On Saturday, December 2, the Young Adult Library was thrilled to feature a panel discussion between the authors Kalynn Bayron, David Bowles, and Sayantani DasGupta. These writers have all recently released YA books that revisit fictional and historical characters from the past and reclaim their tales through a modern lens. First time moderator Leslie Gallager shared an impressive roster of questions that dug deep opening up lots of introspection.

Sponsored by the Richard Peck Event Fund, this program for teens was free and open to the public. 

After responding to the moderator's questions, the audience had the opportunity to ask some of their own.

Then everyone had a chance to visit the pop-up bookshop courtesy of The Corner Bookstore and purchase the featured titles.

Teens then met with the authors at the book signing that followed.

Last but certainly not least, we had a delicious array of snacks including cupcakes topped with miniature versions of the books being highlighted!
