Forthcoming Books - Fall 2020
"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns." - George Eliot
Readers, rejoice! Autumn is usually a time for publishers to release books by their most prominent and well-liked writers. This year’s shutdown caused publishers to delay some of the spring and summer publications creating an especially rich selection for this upcoming season. The list below comprises many of the titles we expect to be among the most popular through the end of the year, and you're sure to find several things you’d like to read, no matter your preferences. Place your reserves now. For a more complete account of our recent acquisitions, take a look at New Books, a list we publish at the beginning of every month, available online and at the Reference Desk. If there is a book you're looking forward to but don't find on this list, simply request it from the Acquisitions Department by filling out a request slip at the Circulation Desk or log in to our website and use the Suggest a Purchase form.
