History – It Can’t Happen Without You, Grades 3-6
Make history with Susan Buckley and Elspeth Leacock, co-authors of
Kids Make History and
Journeys for Freedom. In this event, the authors will talk about young people who have made history, from Pocahontas to Lynda Lowery, the youngest marcher in the 1965 Selma march, and show audience members how they, too, are history makers. This event is $5 per person.

Desiree DeToy, the environmental educator for the New York Aquarium, will introduce you to the world of sea stars and other spiny-skinned sea creatures. See live sea stars, learn how they live, and make your own art project to take home. This event is $5 per child.
