    Richard Peck: The Teacher’s Funeral, Grades 5 and older
    Richard Peck is the award-winning author of more than 30 books for children and young adults, including the Newbery Honor book A Long Way From Chicago and the Newbery Medalist A Year Down Yonder. In this event, he will read from his new tale, The Teacher's Funeral, and discuss how he creates his books. This event is $5 per person.

    Young Writer’s Workshop, grades 4-6
    Award-winning poet and performer Ellen Hagan will lead a poetry discussion and guide participants in writing their own poems. This event is $10 per person.

    Join us for classic nursery rhymes, stories and songs.

    Arctic Antics! Stories and Craft, ages 3 and older
    Journey to frozen lands and enjoy stories about polar bears, penguins, and other cold weather animals.

  • Friday, February 25, 3:30 p.m.
    Caldecott Club, Grades K-3
    Join us each month for Caldecott Medal stories and learn the art techniques that make these books award winners! This month enjoy The Little House, by Virginia Lee Burton, and learn how to make a block print.
