Mother-Daughter Book Discussion, For Your Eyes Only, by Joanne Rocklin,
When the new substitute teacher, Mr. Moffat, assigns everyone in class to start keeping journals, Lucy pours out her heart to him in entries titled "For YOUR Eyes Only!" Lucy writes about everything--her best friend, who always isn’t such a good friend; her dad and his new wife; and her new love of poetry. Meanwhile Andy, the class troublemaker, does nothing but draw cartoons in his journal. But then Andy starts writing, too, because he has a secret he can't hide any longer. A secret he'll have to find the courage to tell...or write. Mothers and their daughters in grades 4-6 are invited to attend a discussion of this award winning book.
