Individual Study Room Rules

Study Room

The Library has six individual study rooms available to members aged 18 or older on the Fifth Floor. If you are interested in reserving one of these rooms, please read the Individual Study Room Rules. Rooms are reserved for the entire day, but members must claim the key by 11am on weekdays and 12pm on weekends. As with all Library spaces, no phone use or Zooming is allowed.

Members can view study room availability here and make reservations by emailing [email protected].

Members may have up to five active reservations at a time. Once that limit has been reached, they must use or cancel a reservation in order to make another. Members may add their name to the waitlist at the front desk at any time; when a waitlisted member is notified by email that a room is available, they will have 15 minutes to claim the key at the front desk.

Note that the Library also has many other reading & writing spaces available on a first-come first-served basis. Please visit the Hornblower Room on the Fifth Floor, the Whitridge Room and Little Whit on the Third Floor, and the desks in the books stacks. The Members' Room on the Second Floor is reserved as a laptop and keyboard-free space.
