Halloween Happenings at the Library

Friday, October 21, 2016

Something spooky’s happening at the Library! We will be hosting several Halloween events for a variety of ages. To begin, there will be a drop-in Creepy Craft Make-and-Take activity for children of all ages this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Next Tuesday, October 25, our monthly Tween Scene session has the intriguing title of Magical Menacing Monsters! Children ages 9 and older are invited to celebrate Halloween and Harry Potter from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.

Also next week, on Thursday, October 27, at 4 PM, Slightly Spooky Stories and a craft will be shared with children ages 3 and older.

Finally, through the rest of the month we will have our in-house coloring books, with images pulled from the NYSL collection, available for coloring fiends of all ages to enjoy here or at home. Pick one up in the Children’s Library or at the Circulation Desk in the lobby. We borrowed these #PageFrights from the following books: Design for Death, A Field Guide to Demons, Fairies, Fallen Angels, and Other Subversive Spirits, and Halloween: From Pagan Ritual to Party Night. We invite you to hunt for these and more freaky fun stories in the Children’s Library and the adult stacks as well.
